In the Children’s Embassy all the children have a unique opportunity under the guidance of talented hippotherapy master the art of communicating with horses.

The oldest equestrian club, which is located in the complex “Equine” at All-Russia Exhibition Centre children regularly attend classes on horse riding. In this historic pavilion there live 20 magnificent thoroughbred horses, including the Akhal-Teke, Orlov Trotter, Hanoverian, Russian horse, Vladimir Heavy Draft and one Welsh pony named Donut. Children interact with these graceful animals, feed, care after them. As part of the training on the parade ground in the arena of trainers – educators teach children the right staying in the saddle, choosing appropriate equipment, talk about the rules of safe behavior near the horse. A separate mandatory part of the class – is a subject of conversation, games and manual work on the subject, which take place directly in the nature or in the beautiful hall of the center.

Convincing anyone of beneficial impact of horses on the psycho-physical condition of the person is not necessary. Even Hippocrates mentioned communication with the horse in his writings brings a positive impact on the overall well-being. In the middle of the XVIII century encyclopedist Denis Diderot in his treatise “On the riding and its meaning in order to maintain health and to regain it”, he wrote: “Among exercise the first place belongs to the riding. Therapeutic horseback riding in general has a positive biomechanical effect on the body of a Child, strengthening him. Movement of the horse’s back muscles, composed of many elements, have massaging and gentle warming (temperature horses at 1.5 degrees higher than in humans) the impact on the muscles of the legs and pelvic organs, which increases blood flow to the extremities. In step the horse – mainly gait is used in hippotherapy – horse makes about 110 different directions oscillatory movements, which in turn transferred to the rider. In order to maintain proper fit while riding child should keep a balance, coordinate and synchronize his movements. Thus, the work included the muscles are inactive in normal life. In addition, riding stimulates the development of fine motor skills, perseverance and improves harmonious perception of the world.
